What is a Journey Intensive?
Experiencing Intimacy With Christ
God wants you to have intimate fellowship with Him. He wants you to embrace all that He has for you and to use you for His kingdom and glory.
Journey Intensive is a weekend retreat focused on helping you develop greater intimacy with Christ. Through sessions, fellowship and personal time with the Lord you will be challenged to allow the Lord to deal with root areas in your life that our holding you back and to say “yes” to Him in each area of your life.
This retreat will focus on how to practically live out and walk in daily victory through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Freedom is available to us in Christ. As you fill your mind and heart with God’s Word, you can experience the freedom only He can bring and “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36

Journey Intensive Facilitator

Gabriel Cleator loves Jesus and desires to help others to cultivate an intimate relationship with Him. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Ministries. Gabriel co-hosts a podcast on the Commands of Christ and helps coordinate discipleship events like Journey to the Heart and Family Conference. Gabriel and his wife, Sara, live in East Texas where they enjoy serving the Lord together.
How is a Journey Intensive different than Journey to the Heart
The Journey Intensives are shorter weekend events that cover some of the same topics that the Journey to the Heart in a condensed way. While it is impossible to take everything we cover in a week on Journey to the Heart and condense it into a weekend, we plan to cover some of the key topics from Journey and also give you personal time to seek God.
The Journey Intensive will be like less of a supervised camp experience and more a blend of a conference and a retreat with sessions, fellowship and personal time with God.
What is the recommended age for the Journey Intensive?
The Journey Intensive is designed to reach a wide variety of ages and anyone 18 and older is welcome to participate.
Who should attend a Journey Intensive
Journey Intensives are for those 18 and older who are hungry for God and want to go deeper in their walk with Him. Those who attend the Intensives will be expected to act in a mature way and use their discretionary time wisely.

The Journey Intensive is designed to reach a wide variety of ages and anyone 18 and older is welcome to participate.
Who should attend a Journey Intensive?
Journey Itensives are for those that want to experience greater inimacy in their walk with Christ and to deal with anything impeding in that close fellowship with Him.
Can a married couple attend the Journey Intensive?
Yes, married couples can attend but will have to pay the extra $100 housing charge for their own room.

Towering pine trees, a pristine lake and 2000+ acres of beautiful East Texas country provide the setting where our Big Sandy, TX Journey Intensives are held.
Lodging will be bunk style with men and women being housed in separate facilities. Time will be allotted in the schedule to get out on the property and spend time seeking the face of Jesus while enjoying the beauty of His creation.
Traveling Details
Flights can be booked to fly into:
• Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) (A little over 2h from campus)
We will only do one DFW airport run on Friday arriving around 2 PM at the airport to pick people up. All flights must arrive before 1:30 PM.
We will only do one airport drop off on Monday at DFW dropping attendees off around 9:00 AM.
(Because of the 4 hour+ round trip to and from the airport we are not able to make acceptations to these arrival an departure times)

On-site Journey housing is provided. Housing arrangments will be bunk style. (if you would like a room by yourself an extra $100 fee will be charged)
