2025 January Prayer Challenge!

by | Dec 18, 2024

In I Timothy 2:1 we read of the priority God puts on prayer in the life of the believer: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men” This exhortation highlights to us God’s desire that we put Him first in our life by making prayer a priority in our daily schedule.

It is important to note the words first of all in this verse. This phrase highlights the importance of prioritizing prayer as first in everything—including the first of the year. In light of this, we want to invite you to join us for a 21-Day Prayer Challenge in January 2025. Every day of the new year we want to encourage you, as well as ourselves, to spend at least one hour in prayer.

Journey Challenge Details:

Will you consider joining us in this 21-day endeavor? Details for the challenge are as follows:

  • Who: Anyone can participate in this Prayer Challenge.
  • What: One hour of prayer every day for 21 days. Sign up here to receive daily email reminders featuring a prayer focus, Scripture verse, and a quote on the topic of prayer.
  • Where: Your prayer closet (Note: On January 21, the final day of the challenge, a virtual prayer meeting will be held for those who participated to thank the Lord for all He has done.)
  • Why: Because to pray is a command, a privilege, and should be a priority in our lives as believers.
  • When: The first three weeks of the New Year.

You can sign up for the challenge online here!

We understand setting aside an hour each day for personal prayer will require discipline and probably reprioritizing our schedules. But we believe that those who participate in this challenge will indeed find these prayer times to be what the old hymn writer called a “sweet hour of prayer”!

Oh! one hour with God infinitely exceeds all the pleasures and delights of this lower world.” —David Brainerd

We hope you can join us in 2025 for the 21-Day Prayer Challenge.

In Christ,

The Journey Staff
