Wow, what a powerful chapter!

It is so hard to pick a specific verse, they are all so amazing. But, I can definitely find one that mentions something I have struggled with. Verses 8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, so no man can boast.” This has always boggled my mind! I am SO unworthy of spending eternity with Christ, and in order to spend eternity with Him all I need to do is trust and believe in Him. AMAZING!

For so long I have always caught myself trying to earn this incredible gift. I guess this is because I am the type of person who has to make things complicated and over analyze no matter what. But, there is no possible way I could earn and be worthy of the gift of being in Heaven, no matter what works I do. It is through faith I have been saved! PRAISE GOD! God really is amazing and shows that He loves us so much by letting us live with Him forever and not having us work for it. It’s so simple what He asks us to do; trust, have faith, and believe.

Given, this does not mean that we should take totally advantage of it. We are to live like Christ and serve others because that is what we are called to do, not because that is the requirement for salvation. We serve one AMAZING God and it is such a joy to serve Him and live like Christ because He truly loves us. I am so thankful for this gift!
