Experiencing God’s Faithfulness In Trials

by | Jan 7, 2019

“Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.”

 Isaiah 55:4

This verse speaks of God’s care for His people. He gave David as a witness of His faithfulness, keeping power, and His sufficiency to meet all of David’s needs, all his life, no matter what he went through.

God set David up as a leader and commander to the people. He is a picture of Christ, for David was a man after God’s own heart. He sought God through keeping His commandments and all the word of God. Therefore he led the people and was a commander to them because he was listening up under The Mighty Leader and Commander through keeping Yahweh’s commands.

God faithfully lead David through many difficult and dangerous life trials. He lead him through repentance for the sin of fearing man and putting himself before others and above God’s law.

Psalm 119:9 “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to Thy Word.”

He led him through the dark valley of heartache and despair to prove that His presence and amazing Grace (Christ) is sufficient every moment of every day!

David’s life is a living testimony that continuing in the word through suffering and trials produces the Life of Christ and the increase of the Kingdom (Kingship) of God in man. As David went through each trial in his life, he wrote down all that God was teaching him, his prayers, and songs to God, as he saw the victory of God come in his life, as he continued in the Word.

As a pine cone only opens to let out seed to reproduce as it goes through heat or fire, so it was with David. Because he received the suffering, the reproofs, and correction of God, teaching him to turn back to The Way of Life, the fruit was the book of the precious Psalms of David! Many many people have received encouragement, reproof, wisdom, and direction by reading, memorizing, and meditating on the Psalms. They are a living witness of the power of God’s redemption, His great faithfulness and the eternal life changing power of keeping the Word of God!
